what is TIMSGIVING?
Timsgiving is a festive celebration of life honoring Timothy “Timmy” Michael Thompson. Timmy died tragically 15 years ago in 2004 at the age of 24 after struggling with opioid use disorder. This event will allow us to honor Timmy in the best way we know how— by eating, laughing, listening to music, and sharing stories, together. We’re also giving back to causes that would be meaningful to Timmy. Learn more about Timmy’s story.
We are so excited and hope to see familiar faces of friends, family, and members of the community to help us mark an astounding 15 years without Timmy. Let’s gather, gorge, and give back for Timmy!

hOW ARE WE GIVING BACK?
Timsgiving marks the official kick-off of several partnerships with local organizations whose mission aligns with the things that brought Timmy joy in life as well as what caused his untimely death.
Timmy was a chef and a drummer, so we’ll be giving back to organizations that support the culinary arts and music, namely percussion. We’ll also support organizations that are making strides to advance research, treatment, and prevention of opioid use disorder to try to prevent another life lost to the opioid epidemic.
